Albert Roy Walburg, 74, of Vernon, passed away on April 17, 2026. He was born on August 4, 1951, to Doris and Donald Walburg in Burlington, WI.

Albert was a dedicated professional, serving the Oklaunion Power Station for 27 years until his retirement. On December 18, 1978, he married the love of his life, Bonnie Walburg; they shared thirty wonderful years together before her passing in 2009. When he wasn't working, Albert could most likely be found on the open road riding his Harley. He was known for his quick wit and always having a "little diddy" ready for anyone around.

He is survived by his sisters, Colleen Sanders and Betty Forester, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; his children, Alberta and Jacobi White of Vernon, and Craig and Kimmy Walburg of Stamford, Texas; and his loyal dog and companion, Buster. He was a proud grandfather to Amound and Jessy Thompson, Aaliyah, Sarah, Gavin, Benny, Wyatt, Alisa, Jaylie, Jaxton.

Albert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie; his parents, Doris and Donald; his brothers, Donald Walburg and Roger Walburg; his son, Justin Walburg; and his great-granddaughter, Aubrie Jade Thompson.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to his favorite Angels Care nurse, Cindy Inglish, as well as Beyond Faith Hospice and Veronica Bryant for their compassionate care.

A private family memorial will be held to honor Albert’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Beyond Faith Hospice.
