Anna Geraldine "Mimma" Giddings, 88 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, in Vernon, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, Texas under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Anna was born Sunday, August 2, 1936, in Heyworth, Illinois. She was the daughter of the late Dillard White and the late Inez Gibson White. She married Jack Giddings on February 15, 1957, in Omaha, Nebraska.  She retired from Abilene Independent School District after twenty five years as a Cafeteria Supervisor. She then worked as a dessert chef at University Park in Abilene. Anna loved to sew, and gardening was her passion growing sunflowers, blue bonnets, and irises. Above all, she loved being a grandma and a great grandma.

Anna is survived by three sons, Michael Giddings of Ottumwa, Iowa, Richard Giddings & wife Traci of Merkel, Texas and Robert Giddings & wife D'Ann of Abilene, Texas; one daughter, Lori Webb & husband Robert of Vernon, Texas; one brother, Jack White of Bloomington, Illinois, and two sisters, Barbara Williams of Saint Joseph, Illinois and Sharon Funk of El Paso, Illinois.  Anna also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, Barlee Barron, Ashlea Giddings & husband Robert, Sarah Lundgren & husband Brant, Chelsea Parsons & husband Peyton, Chase Giddings, Cuddy Giddings, Cash Giddings, Clayton Giddings, Weston Giddings, Colton Giddings, Mika Giddings, and Michael Giddings, and nineteen great grandchildren.

Anna is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Giddings on December 2, 2011, her brother, James White, and sister, Roberta Mowbray.

Visitations will be Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 7:00pm at Sullivan Funeral Home in Vernon, Texas and Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm at Hamil Family Funeral Home in Abilene, Texas.

Memorials may be given to the Wilbarger Humane Society , Vernon Boys & Girls Club , or Hospice of Wichita Falls .
