Apolinar Sosa (Paul) Martinez, 80 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 10:00 am at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Ric Rosalez officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Apolinar (Paul) Sosa Martinez was born Friday, July 3, 1943, in Pearsall, Texas. He was the son of the late Tomas and Ramona Martinez. He married Mozetta Killian in 1965. He resided in Foard and Wilbarger counties for the majority of his life. He worked for Dr. Pepper in Vernon, Rayland Gin, and Wright's Brand Foods/Tyson Food.  He retired after working sixty-one years for Wright's/Tyson Foods. He never had a bad word to say about anyone he ever met. He was a hard dedicated worker. He was generous to anyone in need. He was the best husband, father, and grandparent that anyone could have been blessed with. He committed his life to his family and his work.

Paul is survived by his wife, Mozetta Martinez and three sons, Glen Martinez of Vernon,  Michael & Mary Martinez of Lake Kemp, and Jerry & Diane Martinez of Vernon; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; brother, Valentine & Tina Martinez of Vernon, and sisters, Minga & Jr. Lopez of Fort Worth, Janie Balderas of Muleshoe, and Carmen Botello of Fort Worth.

Paul is preceded in death by his son, Paul Lynn Martinez; brothers, Joe Martinez, Fred Martinez and Alex Martinez, and sister, Eva Keown.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
