Asmer was born Wednesday, June 8, 1960 in Wichita Falls, Texas, she  was the daughter of  the late Paul G. Rivers and the late Alicia Okuba  Rivers. She had lived in Vernon, all of her life. She was a sectary for Helen Farabee Rehabilitation. She was a Baptist.

Asmer is survived by her daughter, Gloria Bea Batchelor of Azle, TX, sons  J.R. Hall of Stephenville, TX, and Johnny Joe Perez of Dallas, TX., brother, Johnny Rivers of Vernon, TX, sister, Reyna Hernandez of Vernon, TX; 4 grandchildren; Bryan Jeffrey Jones, Jr., Romeo Samuel Brewster, Tres Hall, and Hanna Hall.  1 great grandchild.
