Aulton Don Spruill, 94 of Vernon, Texas passed on Monday, January 30, 2023, in Vernon, Texas.

Aulton was born Friday, September 14, 1928, in Medicine Mounds, Texas. He was the son of the late Sam Spruill and the late Anna Golden Spruill. He married Annie Mae Williams. Aulton retired from the U.S. Army as an E8 1 ^st Sargent. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a 32 ^nd Degree Mason.

Aulton is survived by his sister, Betty Seaton of Wichita Falls, Texas; nieces, Tammie Hallmark of Vernon, Texas, and Su Czech of Missori; nephew, David Spruill of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and his caretaker, Emma Nava of Vernon, Texas.  Aulton also leaves behind numerous other nieces and nephews.

Aulton is preceded in death by his parents, wife, five sisters, and two brothers.
