Ava Mary Iverson, 83 of Vernon, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in Vernon, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home with Rev. Luke Morrison officiating.

Ava was born Thursday, August 1, 1940, in Haskell, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Clyde Taylor and the late Ruby Mae Grindstaff Taylor. She married Morris Sonny Iverson in 1982 in Durango, Colorado. She owned a trucking company and loved the trucking business. She built a great home in New Mexico. She really enjoyed life. She was a member of Western Trail Cowboy Church.

Ava is survived by one daughter, Romney Forsythe of Henrietta, Texas; one step daughter, Kim McAda; one step son, Chad Campbell; two grandchildren; one brother, Rod Taylor of Vernon, Texas, and one niece, Ashley Taylor of Vernon, Texas.

Ava is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
