Barbara Jean Bond, 79 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 10:00 am at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Crowell Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Barbara was born Thursday, November 14, 1946, in Crowell, Texas. She was the daughter of the late William Recie Womack and the late Frances Maude Tisdale Kirkham. She worked for Texas Health & Human Services. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and pulling weeds. Barbara had a green thumb. She also adored her dachshunds. 

Barbara is survived by her five children, Teresa Harrison (Conner) of Midland, Texas, Timothy Bond (Jovy Noriega) of Phoenix, Arizona, Brandon Lee (Molly) of Abilene, Texas, Destiny Gray (Jason) of Odell, Texas and Barbi Bond (Tommy James) of Vernon, Texas, twelve grandchildren, Whitney, Austin, Hunter (Caity), Parker, Gage, Garrett, Louisa, Susannah, Avery, Abigail, Haley and Peyton, and two great grandchildren, Creed and Levi. Barbara also leaves behind two brothers, Bill Womack (Cindy) of Amarillo, Texas and Michael Kirkham (Sheree) of Abilene, Texas.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, William Womack & Frances Kirkham, her grandson, Avery Matthew, and her sister, Francie Ann Womack.

Visitation will be Friday, May 1, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
