Barbara Sue Richardson, 62 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in Knox City, Texas.

Memorial services will be held Friday, June 19, 2026, at 5:00 pm at East to West Baptist Church in Vernon, Texas.

Barbara was born Friday, April 24, 1964. She was the daughter of the late George Montgomery and Maxine Montgomery Parker. She worked for the Vernon State Hospital for many years. 

Barbara is survived by her mother, Maxine Parker of Vernon, Texas, her partner, Leonard Williams of Munday, Texas, three daughters, Christina Zitsch of Seymour, Texas, Tiffany Glover of Crowell, Texas and Jennefer Lowrance of Fort Worth, Texas, her brother, Jay Colston of Tyler, Texas, and three sisters, Tammy Montgomery, Ellianna Parker and Alexia Parker all of Vernon, Texas. Barbara also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Nathaniel Hernandez (Haley), Mateo Hernandez, Tambra Hernandez, Lilly Anna Crosby, Nicholas Swarm, Rylan Lowrance, and Raiden Lowrance and three great grandchildren.

Barbara is preceded in death by her nephew, Nicholas Forrester.
