Betty Sue Piper was born February 29, 1944 to C.Y. Jackson and Mildred Wooley. She departed from us April 26, 2023.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11:00 am at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John C. Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Betty Piper was a member of Wood Street Church of Christ since a very early age. She married Otis Piper and they had five children, Debra Love & Albert Moore of Granbury, Texas, Curwin DeeWayne Piper of Granbury, Texas, Amy & Louis Green of Whitney, Texas, and Elva Mae Piper of Fort Worth, Texas. She worked at the Vernon State Hospital for over thirty years, and as a personal caregiver for fifteen years. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling with friends, going to the casino, and most of all she enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren (especially fun dress up times with "Cimone").

She is preceded in death by her father, C.Y. Jackson; her mother, Mildred Wooley; her brother, Donnie Weaver; her sisters, Dale Murray, Gussie Wooley, Linda Jackson, and her son Emmanuel Calvin Piper.

She leaves to mourn, her children, Debra, Wayne, Amy, and Mae; her sisters, Wanda Weaver, Shirley Ford, Barbara Wooley, Sandara Brown, Joann Wooley, Wanda Jackson, and Nora Jackson-Hunter; her brothers, David Weaver, Matthew Wooley, Richard Ross, and Howard Ross, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and two great granddaughters, Arianna and Nova.

A wake will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 7:00pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
