Bobby Gene Arnold, 93 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in Vernon, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Monday November 29, 2021 at 3:00pm at the Eastview Cemetery with Rev. Gary Chapman officiating under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Bobby was born Thursday, July 26, 1928 in Vernon, Texas, he was the son of the late Robert Benton Arnold and the late Elizabeth Rainwater Arnold. He was a graduate of Oklaunion High School and Central State College in Edmond, OK. with a math degree. Bobby joined the U.S. Navy and served in WWII and he played semiprofessional football for the Navy. Bobby married Mary Frances Walker in March of 1951 in Vernon, Texas.  Mary passed away on September 21, 2016. Bobby coached in Oklaunion and later taught math at Vernon High School. Bobby then began his journey as the County Judge of Wilbarger County for twenty-four years and he also farmed and ranched. Bobby and his family were members of First Baptist Church of Vernon.

Bobby is survived by his  son, Kim Arnold of Vernon, TX, and his daughter, Karen Arnold Smith of Richmond, TX. Bobby also leaves behind five grandchildren, Christie Bennett, Jennifer Bellanger, Melissa Smith, Phillip Gibbons and Gina Edwards along with five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday from 1:30-2:30pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
