Boyce Edward Cox, 87 of Wellington, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, in Wellington, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas, under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Mitschke officiating.

Boyce was born Saturday, February 1, 1936, in Crowell, Texas. He was the son of the late W.M. Cox and the late Pearl Dunn Cox. He married Glenda Walker on March 3, 1963 in Chillicothe, Texas. Boyce served in the United States Air Force as a jet engine mechanic for twelve years. He worked as an electrician at the Navy Space Surveillance System outside of Archer City, Texas. He was also a farmer. He was a member of Assembly of God Church in Crowell, Texas, and a member of Abundant Life Chapel in Vernon, Texas.

Boyce is survived by his wife, Glenda Cox of the home; two sons, Tim Cox of Vernon, Texas, and Rodney Cox of Copper Center, Alaska; three grandchildren, Cory Cox, Faith Cox, and Hunter Cox. Boyce also leaves behind his niece, Melissa Womble of Quanah, Texas, and his nephew, Greg Cox of Pearland, Texas.

Boyce is preceded in death by his brother, Bill Cox, and his sister, Doris Burlsmith.

Visitation will be Friday, August 11, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home in Crowell, Texas.
