Brenda Karen Odom, 67 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Seymour Memorial Hospital in Seymour, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday July 28, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Eastview Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Rutledge officiating under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Brenda was born Saturday, February 27, 1954 in Vernon, Texas. She was the daughter of the late J.C. Skipworth and the late Dorothy Collier Skipworth. Brenda married Walter Odom on August 16, 1974 in Vernon, Texas. Brenda worked in the medical billing insurance coding department at Wilbarger General Hospital, and she had previously worked for the Chillicothe Hospital and for Dr. Carreon's office. Brenda and her family were members of the Second Baptist Church.

Brenda is survived by her husband Walter Odom, her two sons, Eric Lagunas of Vernon, TX and Chad Odom of Vernon, TX, one brother Kenny Skipworth of Wichita Falls, TX, three sisters, Tonya Nava of Fargo, TX, Janella Skipworth of Vernon, TX and Beverly Skipworth of Lubbock, TX. Brenda is also survived by four grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday before the service from 10:00 -10:45am at the Sullivan Funeral Home
