Carolyn Sue Mason, 62 of Vernon, Texas died on Friday, February 4, 2022, in Crowell, Texas.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 11, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Zion Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Steven Brummett. Interment will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Carolyn was born Wednesday, May 20, 1959 in Vernon, Texas. She was the daughter of Carl Zipperle and Vera Mae Schwede Zipperle. She married Arthur Mason on November 22, 1979 in Vernon, Texas. She enjoyed spending time outside tending to her flowers and gardening. Taking care of registered longhorns, she was a collector of antiques, she also enjoyed craft shows and art work, and cooking. She loved spending time with her grandkids. She loved traveling, especially New Mexico, and beaches. Family traditions and heirlooms were a passion of hers to carry on and pass down. She retired from Vernon State Hospital after 22 years of service. She was baptized, confirmed, married in and a lifetime member at Zion Lutheran Church.

Carolyn is survived by her husband Arthur Mason of the home, sons, Cody Mason and wife Kimberly of Burkburnett, TX, Travis Mason and wife Alice of Vernon, TX and Adam Mason and wife Noel of Bryan, TX, her parents Carl and Vera Zipperle of Vernon, Texas, sisters, Vera Tidwell and husband Joe of Levelland, TX and Anita Miller and husband Paul of Vernon, TX. grandchildren Rilynn, Brookelyn, Hayes, Stella, Noah, Asher, and Weston.  Numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
