Carolyn Jo Westbrook, 82 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Vernon, Texas. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 11:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Toby Castleberry officiating under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Carolyn was born Tuesday, December 7, 1943, in Safford, Arizona. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Thomas White and the late Johnnie Lou Liles Snider. She was a graduate of Vernon High School. She owned and operated retail shops in Vernon. She was also a private care giver for many years. Carolyn loved her make-up, lipstick and jewelry. She was very funny and loved to make everyone laugh. 

Carolyn is survived by her son, Jeff Lyon of Fort Worth, Texas, her daughters, Cindy Lytle and Lisa Forrester & husband Glynn, her brother, Bruce White and her sister-in-law, Vivian White all of Vernon, Texas. Carolyn also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Jonathan Lytle of Vernon, Texas, Scotty Lytle of Fort Worth, Texas, Heather Dickerson of Burleson, Texas, Tiffany Dickerson of Burleson, Texas, Courtney Dickerson & husband Larry of Mansfield, Texas, Cody Dickerson & wife Tabitha of Arlington, Texas, Michael Rinehart & wife Samantha of Alvarado, Texas and Stephanie Lyon of Mansfield, Texas, along with fourteen great grandchildren, Bryce, Brady, Kyleigh, Jace, Tank, Sonny, Dolyn, Kyros, Kerstin, Kash, Paisley, Copelyn, Saylor, and Trinity.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Jesse White, Jerry White and Tommy White.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.

Memorial may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
