Cecil Mae Ford was born to the parentage of Dan Cherry and Mahalia Cherry on February 8, 1936 in Red River county. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Tom Williams, Sandy Cherry, Dandy Cherry, husband Allen Ford, and niece Tommie Williams. She attended the Grand Court Ancient Arabic Order of the Daughters of Sphinx State of Texas. Cecil Mae lived in Los Angeles with her late husband Allen Ford and then later moved to Amarillo, TX and then to Vernon, TX. She attended First Baptist Church, New Hope and Wood Street churches throughout her years in Vernon, TX, and was always a part of all activities. She accepted Jesus Christ into her life at a young age and on her dying bed we prayed the salvation prayer. She for sure believed and knew she was in God's hands. She leaves many to rejoice in her memories: Tammy Williams, Tomika Gonzalez, Aaron Williams, Dametrias Murray, Janae Williams, Bryson Hall, Alana Wesley, David Price III, Prince Price, Dametrias Murray Jr, Hailee Williams, Cecilia Bigby, Davion MacArthur, Bernard Jackson Jr, Avani Williams, and Xavier Hall.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 2:00pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
