Chuck Dilday, 58 of Vernon, Texas, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Anthony Inman officiating. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Chuck was born Friday, March 12, 1965, in Burkburnett, Texas. He was the son of the late Sandy Nichols Russey. He married Melanie Marshall on September 17, 1990 in Vernon, Texas. Chuck graduated from Monahans High School and attended Sul Ross State University.  He rode bulls in high school and college. He was a PNA-4 for over twenty years, and also farmed and ranched for James Streit for nineteen years. Chuck was an avid hunter and was a member of Western Trail Cowboy Church.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Melanie Dilday of the home; one daughter, Dee Dee Marshall of Vernon, Texas; two sisters, Tina Reyes of Gardendale, Texas and Adina Waits of Denton, Texas; step-father, Dale Russey of Denton, Texas; God daughter, Jaime Policastro of Vernon, Texas, and his mother-in-law, Nancy Marshall of Davidson, Oklahoma. Chuck also leaves behind special friends, Julie Martinez and Franky Garcia.

Chuck is preceded in death by his mother, Sandy Russey and by his brother, Jerry Dilday.

Visitation will be Monday, January 1, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
