Clifton Lee Gilmore (Cliff) of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away on June 10, 2024 at the age of 65.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Monday June 17, 2024 at Second Baptist Church in Vernon, Texas.

Clifton was born September 19, 1958, in Vernon, Texas to Don and Ann Gilmore. He married the love of his life, Dianna Blevins, on August 21, 1981, and the couple made their home in Wichita Falls, Texas. Cliff was a loving and devoted husband, dad, and Pappy. He enjoyed going to estate sales, working in his yard, and taking care of his pool while listening to his favorite music. He had a passion for all sports, both attending and watching. Cliff loved spending time at the bar that he designed and built entertaining close friends and family. Cliff was family oriented, putting them first while loving them with the deepest love one could ever imagine. His most favorite thing to do was sit on the front porch with his wife and visit while she drank her coffee. Cliff leaves this world, making it a little better and a little brighter for all those who knew him.

Clifton coached at Valley, Milford, Bryson, and Amherst, then moved into administration where he worked at Aspermont ISD for 13 years until he retired as a principal and superintendent. He then moved on to become a superintendent in 2016 at Perrin Whitt CISD where he remained until his death. During his career, he was known to be a great leader and wanted to do what was best for Perrin CISD. He was always willing to listen and give sound advice to all personnel at the district. Cliff was known for always guiding school personnel in the decision-making process. He was an officer in the Texas 6-man Coaches Association and he was a member of the UIL Legislative Council for several years. Cliff was involved in Education for a span of 38 years.

He is survived by his wife, Dianna Gilmore, one daughter, McKenziee Gilmore Miller and husband Peter Miller, grandsons, Dylan Trammell, and Ryder Gilmore; mother, Ann Gilmore, sister, Karen Richards and husband Richard; brother, Keith Gilmore and wife Sherry.

He is preceded in death by his father, Don Gilmore, his son Brandon Gilmore, daughter Tayler Gilmore and granddaughter Sydnee Trammell.
