Clifton McIntyre, 78 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022, in Vernon, Texas.

Graveside services will be held on October 6, 2022 at 10:00am at Eastview Cemetery, with Dr. Derrell Monday officiating under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Clifton was born Saturday, December 25, 1943 in Chillicothe, Texas. He was the son of the late George Christopher McIntyre and the late Martha Coburn McIntyre. Clifton married Simone Marie Therasa Theval in 1965. Clifton served in the Army from 1966-1969 as a E-4, he also served in France. Clifton returned from the military and worked for the City of Quanah on the Sanitation Truck, He later worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad as a Roadmaster where he retired.

Clifton is survived by his wife Simone Marie Therasa Theval McIntyre. One son, Gary "Butchy" McIntyre and wife Sherry of Chillicothe, TX, two daughters, Cassandra Vargo of Vernon, TX and Marie Reinhardt of Vernon, TX, Clifton is also survived by three brothers, David McIntyre of Quanah, TX, Donnie McIntyre of Quanah, TX and Junior McIntyre of Chillicothe, TX; seven grand children; fifteen great grand children.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00-8:00pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
