Dan Nethery, 84 of Iowa Park, Texas passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023, in Iowa Park, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 11:00 am at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jesse Quintero officiating.  Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Dan was born Thursday, July 14, 1938, in Watrous, New Mexico. He was the son of the late W. E. Nethery and the late Gertrude Clay Nethery. He married Jerry Sue Green November 22, 1957, in Vernon, Texas.  Jerry Sue passed away November 5, 2019. Dan graduated from Midwestern State University with a B.S. in Science in 1970. He worked in the Semi-Conductor Industry for Sprague Electric, and later worked in the engineering and construction side of Semi Conducting.   Dan also served in the Texas National Guard in the Vernon Unit and at Fort Smith, Arkansas.  In 1998 he joined the UA Local 58 Pipe Fitters Union. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Iowa Park, Texas.

Dan is survived by his son, Chris Nethery & wife Patty of Iowa Park, Texas; one brother, Eddie Nethery of Odessa, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dan also leaves behind his partners in crime, Snuggles and Rooster.

Dan is preceded in death by his brothers, Dub Nethery, Glen Nethery, and Dink Nethery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 7, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
