David Lugene Gatson, 69 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, in Vernon, Texas.

Celebration of Life for David will be held Saturday May 20, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Hesperia Golf & Country Club, 17970 Bangor Ave. Hesperia, CA. 92345

David was born Tuesday, September 8, 1953 in Victorville, California. He was the son of the late Joshua Gatson and the late Marjorie Dawson Gatson. He married Ramona Ratliff Gatson April 1, 1972 in Apple Valley, California. They were married for fifty-one years.  David retired as an Industrial Electrician.  He was a pilot and musician and enjoyed heavy metal music.  He traveled the world, and he was interested in Japanese and Korean culture.  He loved meeting people and making new friends. David was a big jokester and was always the life of the party.

David is survived by his wife, Ramona Gatson of the home; children, Joel Gatson of Virginia, Michal Gatson of California, Ashley Gatson of Virginia, Sydney Gatson & Corrine Vieira of California, and Morgan Gatson & Chancie Gatson of Colorado; grandchildren, Simone Gatson of New York and Alana Vieira of California; ten siblings, Dorothy Portis of California, Betty Gatson of Nevada, Billy Gatson of California, Sharon Gatson of California, James Gatson of California, Darryl Gatson and Regina Gatson of Nevada, Duane Gatson of Florida, Michael Timberlake of Nevada, Michelle Timberlake of Alabama, and Fern Gatson-Rush of Wisconsin.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Joshua & Marjorie Gatson, and his daughter-in-law, Chemaine Gatson.
