Dennis Ray Goss, 72 of Quanah, Texas passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in Quanah, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Friday, November 28, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Dennis was born Friday, September 11, 1953, in Midland, Texas. He attended schools in San Jose, California, Breckenridge, Texas, and Cisco Junior College. He joined the U.S. Marines on June 15, 1972. Dennis married Tanya Whitmire on September 3, 1981, in Albany, Texas. He worked for many years in the oilfield and then was later employed by Floyd Industries.

Dennis is survived by his four daughters, Jennifer Crawford (Steven) of Eula, Texas, Christy Goss of Breckenridge, Texas, Heather Goss-Valverde (Mickey) of Vernon, Texas, and Lacey Reed (Jason) of Stinnett, Texas, his stepdaughter, Debbie Herod of Breckenridge, Texas, and his brother, Robert Hoefler, Jr. of Anna, Texas. Dennis also leaves behind seventeen grandchildren, Dylan Goss, Danielle Thornhill, Matthew Sanders, Courtney Overman, Kaitlyn Hardy, Faith Autrey, Malyson Valverde, Micheal Valverde, Rylea Elliott, Mackenzie Elliott, Brianna Elliott, Reeselyn Reed, Aynslee Reed, Bryce Reed, Samantha Chezem, Taylor Stengel, and Devon Herod, and numerous great grandchildren.

Dennis is preceded in death by his wife, Tanya Goss, his sister, Melissa Owens, his mother, Donna McCanlies Hoefler, and his grandparents, George & Clara McCanlies.
