Denzel E. Ryerson, 72 of Vernon, Texas died on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in Vernon, Texas.

Services will be Friday, December 3, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Donovan Wilkinson officiating. Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Denzel was born Monday, January 17, 1949 in Breckenridge, Texas, he was the son of the late Denzel Russell Ryerson and the late Dorothy Gene Everts Ryerson. He married Rosetta Nava on September 27, 2013 in Vernon, Texas. He served in the US Navy, USS Sterett during Vietnam. War, three and half years. He worked for 30 years at Fur's Food in the warehouse and he worked for Federal Express, Vernon State Hospital PNA for fourteen years.

Denzel is survived by his wife Rosetta Ryerson of the home.  sons, Denny Graves and Berry Phillips and wife Odalmis, daughter, Jamie Ryerson, sister, Cathie Boggs. Grandchildren; Jade Morris, Sabastian Phillips, and Raliegh Howard, Great grandson Maverick Ryerson. Numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Lennie Douthit, and Dennis Mosley, two grandchildren Kristen Morris and Hunter Graves.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
