In Loving Memory of Dianne Roquemore

July 31, 1953 - October 28, 2024

Dianne Roquemore, born in Vernon, Texas, dedicated her life to caring for others and building a loving family and community. She graduated from Vernon High School, attended West Texas State University and later earned her nursing license at Crowell Nursing Program, before continuing her education at Midwestern State University to become a Registered Nurse.  For over 20 years, she worked as a registered nurse at Vernon State Hospital, eventually retiring from her role. Her compassion and commitment to helping others led her to continue working at the Advanced Rehabilitation Center of Vernon.

Dianne was an active member of New Hope Baptist Church, serving as an Usher and contributing to various community committees. She cherished family reunions, gardening, and social gatherings, often hosting events that brought loved ones together.

Her adventurous spirit shone through her extensive travels, which included visits to South Korea, England, Germany, Luxembourg, France, and the Bahamas. Dianne enjoyed exploring the United States with her best friend Judy and treasured her time spent with her grandchildren in Virginia.

Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Dorothy Roquemore, as well as her sisters Beverly, Temple, Rhonda, and her brother Larry. She is survived by her daughter, Sheva Nico Wilkins (Rydell), and her beloved grandchildren: Rydell Reece Wilkins, Jr., Shiloh Grace Wilkins, and Gabriel Joseon Wilkins. She will also be dearly missed by her surviving siblings: Gloria Ewing (Roy), Debbie Richardson (Richard), Pamela Sanchez (Bernardino), Yolanda Roquemore, Harold Roquemore (Cheri), Patrick Roquemore (Lucy), and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Dianne's legacy of love, compassion, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
