Dolly Jo Haning, 96 of Vernon, Texas died on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral service will be held Monday, December 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Klappenbach officiating. Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Dolly was born Friday, August 14, 1925 in Vernon, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Robert  Arthur Greenhouse and the late Josie Mears Greenhouse. She attended school in Brisco and Vernon. She married Edgar J. Haning, Jr. on September  13, 1948 in Vernon, he preceded her in death November 18, 1962. She had lived in Morence, AZ. then Las Cruces, NM until 1963  when she moved to Vernon, she owned and operated a home day care center for many years and private sitter for Mrs. Biggs. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

Dolly is survived by her son, Tommy Haning and wife Lavonna of Vernon, TX, brother, Bill Greenhouse of Amarillo, TX. Her grandchildren; Pamela Gaebler and husband Walt of Vernon, Texas, Seth Haning and wife Tallea of Iowa Park, Texas, Great grandchildren Addie Jo Gaebler, Walter Dale Gaebler, both of Vernon, Texas, Weslynn Vonn Haning, and Azlynn Kayloni Haning  both of Iowa Park, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Daniel Haning May 17, 2005  and five brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.

Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church.
