Donald Lewis Hall, 79 of Vernon, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 9, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Toby Castleberry officiating. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Donald was born Sunday, March 19, 1944, in Memphis, Texas. He was the son of the late Jasper W. Hall and the late Billie Gilbert Hall. Donald was raised by his stepmother, Billie Jo Aleen Hall.  He married Clara Hennessee on October 2, 1963 in Vernon, Texas. Donald owned Don Hall's Automotive, and then later retied from Vernon State Hospital as a mechanic.  He worked for NTSH for thirteen years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Donald is survived by his wife of sixty years, Clara Hall of the home; one son, Tim Hall & wife Shannan of Vernon, Texas; five grandsons, Brantley Don Hall, Quinton Thomas Hall & wife Tiffany, Kurt Allen Hall, Justin Legendre, and Mason Legendre; two granddaughters, Trish Hall and Emily Aguilar & husband Rodrigo, and four great grandchildren, Delila, Elliana, Vincent, and Emmalynn.  Donald also leaves behind three brothers, Johnny Wayne Hall, Douglas Ray Hall and Monte Hall, and four sisters, Lois Vincent, Barbara Casteel, Debbie McCoy and Janice Lowrance.

Donald is preceded in death by one son, Tommy Lewis Hall on July 29, 1977; two brothers, Johnny Bewley and Charles Prather, and three sisters, Helen Tipton, Sue Manning and Janie Warrington.

Memorials can be made to Calvary Baptist Church or a favorite charity.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
