Donald Dean Marsh, Sr., 97 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, in Vernon, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Friday, March 28, 2025, at 11:00 am at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home with Dr. Derrell Monday officiating.

Don was born on March 7, 1928, in Lorena, Texas. He was the son of the late Charles Edward Marsh and the late Nettie Mavis Boydston Marsh. He married Gladys Jeanette Blanton on August 14, 1948, in Hewitt, Texas. Don retired after working as a salesman for Ralston Purina Company where he won multiple salesman awards. He had a close relationship with the Berend Brothers. He loved to farm and raise cattle in his retirement years. He also loved supporting his family at sporting events. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he was also a member of the Renegade Class.

Don is survived by his daughter, Bobbie Graf & husband Clifford of Vernon, Texas, his son, Ed Marsh & wife Jan of Vernon, Texas, his sister, Mildred Rienhardt of Georgetown, Texas, and his daughter-in-law, Stephanie Marsh of Vernon, Texas. Don also leaves behind eighteen grandchildren, Gregory Graf & wife Tanya of Lexington, Kentucky, Brian Graf & wife Brenda of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Mark Graf & wife Kendra of Franklin, Texas, Stephanie Marsh of Vernon, Texas, Stacy Wallace & husband Danny of Flower Mound, Texas, Justin Marsh & wife Casey of Vernon, Texas, Tyler Marsh of Wimberley, Texas, Kyle Rainwater & wife Britt of Dallas, Texas, Jill Cox & husband Jeremy of The Woodlands, Texas, Jason Marsh of Odell, Texas, Jordan Marsh & wife Amber of Vernon, Texas, Jonathan Marsh & wife Angie of Alabama, Jerod Marsh of Vernon, Texas, Joshua Marsh & wife Yasmine of Jarrell, Texas, Destanee Thomae & husband Jace of Winters, Texas, Paisley Marsh of Vernon, Texas, Zoey Mefford of Vernon, Texas and Kiley Mefford of Vernon, Texas, and several great grandchildren.

Don is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Jeanette Marsh in 2013, his son, Don Marsh, Jr. in 2025, his parents, Charles & Nettie Marsh, his brothers, Douglas Marsh and Delma Marsh, and his grandson, Damian Anthony Marsh.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 7:00pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.

Memorials can be given to the First Baptist Church or a favorite charity.
