Donald Ray Self, Jr., 63 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 9:30 am at Dallas – Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home with Rabbi Craig Rosenstin officiating.

Donald was born Sunday, April 3, 1960, in Dallas, Texas. He was the son of the late Donald Ray Self. Sr. and the late Ethel Faye Daffern Self. He married Ronda Self on September 24, 1988 in Burkburnett, Texas. Donald served in the U.S. Air Force in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. He was a C-141 Crew Chief. He was an inventor and helped build a six-story building at the age of nineteen, working as a welder. He enjoyed playing Dungeons and Dragons with his friend. Donald was Jewish.

Donald is survived by his wife, Ronda Self of the home, and his four children, DaLesa Self of Vernon, Texas, Toby Self of Colbert, Oklahoma, Daren Self of Ravia, Oklahoma, and Dyla Self of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Donald also leaves behind one sister, Dawnia Cravatt of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and one brother, Dylan Self of Frisco, Texas.
