Donna Gale "Babe" Souza born March 7, 1952 in Liberal, Kansas to Don Conner and Idela (Hinchy) Conner. She went to be with her loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 5, 2024, while in the hands of her loving husband, Larry, at her home in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 10:00 am at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Marvin Savory officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Lawton, Oklahoma under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Donna grew up in the church, her dad being a Baptist preacher. She graduated from Childress High in 1971. In the summer of 1972, while her dad was preaching at Sunnyside Baptist Church, she met her one true love, Larry Souza. The two of them were married on June 23, 1973. After their wedding they went straight to Germany where Larry was stationed while in the Air Force. After returning state side they began their family. They had two daughters, Penny, born January 6, 1979, and Ginger, born June, 22, 1980. They raised their family in Wichita Falls and then in Vernon.

Donna was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandma. She loved her Lord and Savior; she served the church and her community. She was also a member of Wilbarger County Historical Commission. Donna will be dearly missed and always loved.

Donna is preceded in death by her loving parents.

Donna is survived by her husband, Larry of the home; daughter, Penny Savory & husband Marvin of Mustang, Oklahoma; daughter, Ginger Golden & husband David of Iowa Park, Texas; four grandchildren, Ben Savory, Sarah Savory, Bailey Golden, and Briley Golden; one brother, Larry Conner of Austin, Texas, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
