Doris Baca, 94 of Crowell, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in Crowell, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 2:30 pm at Hope Lutheran Memorial Park in Buckholts, Texas under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home with Rev. John Holley officiating.

Doris was born Monday, September 7, 1931, in Coryell City, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Richard Cox, Sr. and Audrey Fisher Cox. She married Bernard Bennie Baca on May 21, 1950, in Buckholts, Texas. She worked for the Chamber of Commerce when she lived in Roysden, New Mexico. She then worked at the YWCA and with her husband at Baca Music in Abilene, Texas. Doris loved to quilt, and she was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Buckholts, Texas.

Doris is survived by three daughters, Debbie Norling & husband Wayne of Grantsburg, WI, Sherry Massey of Edmond, OK, and Sandra Holley & husband John of Vernon, TX, and one brother, Richard "Sonny" Cox & wife Joyce of Burlington, TX. Doris also leaves behind five grandchildren, John Bollich & wife Marlow, Jason Bollich & wife Beth, Douglas Massey, Chelsea DeLorge, and Lacie Fritze, three great grandchildren, Wesley DeLorge, Kaylee DeLorge and Kree Fritze, and several nieces and nephews.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Baca, and two sisters, Georgie Norris and Dorothy Smith.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home, 2800 North Travis, Cameron, Texas, from 1:00 pm until graveside services begin.
