Doris Jouett Gibbs, 83 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Monday October 4, 2021, in Lubbock, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Monday October 11, 2021 at  11:00am at the Eastview Cemetery with Mr. Trent Kieschnick officiating under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Doris was born Monday, June 13, 1938 in Vernon, Texas, she was the daughter of the late P.C. "Bud" Jouett and the late Katherine Lutz  Jouett. She married Garland Gibbs on June 7, 1957 in Vernon, TX. he passed away on  November 26, 2020. Doris worked as a secretary for St Paul Lutheran Church. She retired in 2001 after thirty years. She was also a bookkeeper for Terry Graf Realtors. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Doris is survived by her two daughters, Gayle Boyd and husband David and Janice Kieschnick and husband Trent all of Vernon, TX; Five grandchildren, Craig Boyd, Lyndi Persinger, Tanner Kieschnick, and Katelyn Gardner and Landee Thorn. Four great grandchildren Cash, Kingston, Layken and Brynn. Doris also leaves behind two brothers Donald Jouett of Altus, OK. and Rick Jouett of Vernon, TX. and one sister Patsy Schur Donges of Vernon, TX.

Visitation will be held Monday from 10am until service time at the Sullivan Funeral Home.

Memorials can be made to Campfire, Calvary Baptist Church or Western Trail Cowboy Church.
