Dorothy Dianne "D-Dab" Tate, 75 of Vernon, Texas died on Saturday, January 15, 2022, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Records officiating. Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Dianne was born Monday, July 15, 1946 in Vernon, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Fred Taylor Dabney and the late Dorothy Mae Stockton Dabney. She married Marvin Tate on November 6, 1976 in Vernon, Texas. She was a graduate of Vernon High School she attended Oklahoma State University, graduate of University of South Alabama and Master's Degree at Midwestern University. She was a retired  school teacher for Vernon ISD. She was a member of Lions Club, Cub Master for Boy Scouts of America and the Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Dianne is survived by her husband Marvin Tate of the home, sons, Trent Taylor Tate of Birmingham, AL and Dakota Taylor Tate of Austin, TX, daughters, Angela Dianne Thompson of Altus, OK, and Tia Maria Tate of Wichita Falls, TX,  her sister, Mary Jane Weaver and husband Jimmy of Vernon, TX. two granddaughters Brittany Dianne Hand and Sophia Taylor Tate and a great grandson Lincoln Taylor Hand.

She is preceded in death by her parents and by her son, Russell Dabney Baxter in 1999.

Visitation will be Friday, January 21, 2022 at 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.

Memorials can be made to Boys and Girls Club or Vernon Lions Club.
