Dorothy May Layton, 88 of Vernon, Texas died on Sunday, August 15, 2021,  in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Graveside service will be Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Chapman.

Dorothy was born Sunday, November 13, 1932 in Taylor, Texas, she was the daughter of the late August  Koch, Sr. and the late Erna P. Kroeger  Koch. She married Luther Layton on March 23, 1951 in Vernon, TX., he preceded her in death August 31, 2004. She had lived in Vernon all of her life. She worked for Vernon Manufacturing Company for 21 years, then she was a school bus driver for over 30 years for V.I.S.D. She was a Lutheran and she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one  daughter, Beverly Black  of Vernon, TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and her  brothers, Rudolph Koch, Walter  Koch, Frank Koch and August Koch, Jr., sisters, Myrtle Noack, Annie Burk and Linda McClain.
