Dorthea Faye Showers, 95 of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, in Dallas, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 21, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Toby Castleberry officiating. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Faye was born Thursday, October 16, 1930, in Vernon, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Cocks and the late Lula Turner Cocks. She married William Charles Showers on November 29, 1947, in Vernon, Texas. Faye loved going to The Zone, and she enjoyed playing Bingo, Hand & Foot, Forty-Two, and Dominoes. She loved the Tuesday chicken specials at Popeye's Fried Chicken. She enjoyed visiting with others, but she especially loved holidays with her family.

Faye is survived by her daughter, Peggy Watkins & husband Cliff of Wichita Falls, Texas, two grandchildren, Joe Nieto & wife Pennie of Graham, Texas and Ray Kyzer & wife Jennifer of Iowa Park, Texas, four great grandchildren, Deanna Williams, Brandon Kyzer, Rean Kyzer, and Brinley Kyzer, and her great-great grandson, Asher Gray Williams. Faye also leaves behind her brother, Leonard Cocks and two sisters, Betty McBlaine and Pat Beeman.

Faye is preceded in death by her husband, William Showers, her daughter, Julie Showers, her brothers, S.D. Cocks, Lewis Cocks, Jack Cocks, and Aubrey Cocks, and her sister, Alma Young.

Visitation will be Friday, November 21, 2025, at Sullivan Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until services begin.
