Doug Bivins, 88 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Thursday May 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Diekmann officiating .Interment will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Doug was born Saturday May 19, 1934 in Maple, Texas to the late Curtis D. Bivins and the late Myrtle P Lovell Bivins. Doug married Patsy "Pat" Sorrels on March 16, 1959 inVernon, Texas. Pat passed away June 12, 2013. Doug was the owner and operator of Bivins Pest Control for more than fifty years. In Doug's earlier years he had worked as a cowboy for several years. Doug always enjoyed dancing, fishing and bowling. He was on a travel league for bowling and played many tournaments. He was a member of Western Trail Cowboy Church.

Doug is survived by his son, Randy Bivins of Vernon, TX., two grandchildren Amanda Bivins and Albert, and Blake Bivins and Katie. Doug also leaves behind five great grandchildren, Kaden Hall, Leeana Hall, Lucas Sanchez, Kashdon Bivins and MacLyn Ranjel. Doug is also survived by four brothers Johnny Bivins of Dalhart, TX. Danny Bivins of Vernon, TX. Sammy Bivins of Chillicothe TX. and Ricky Bivins of Quanah, TX. along with two sisters Christine Eley of Colorado Springs, CO. and Peggy Haynes of Vernon, TX.

Doug is preceded in death by his wife Pat Bivins, one daughter Linda Bivins, one brother Thomas Bivins and one sister Theola Jones.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 10am until service time at Sullivan Funeral Home.
