Dugless Henry "Buster" Ford, 93 of Wichita Falls, Texas died on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Hospice of Wichita Falls in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Chillicothe, Texas with Rev. Clay Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Chillicothe Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Buster was born Tuesday, October 11, 1932, in Terral, Oklahoma. He was the son of the late Douglas Burt Ford and the late Mell Rose Lewis Ford. He married Reta Sitz on July 10, 1954, in Vernon, Texas. He owned numerous rent houses in Chillicothe. He was a former member of the Chillicothe Cemetery Board and opened and closed all the graves at Chillicothe Cemetery for over fifty years. For thirty-five years Buster worked for Wards Furniture and Funeral Home in Chillicothe, and for twenty-eight years he was a member of the Vernon Travelers Square Dance Club.

Buster is survived by his wife, Reta Ford of the home, his three children, Dee Wayne Ford of Chillicothe, Texas, Carla Gayle Jones of Wichita Falls, Texas and Lora Lee Taylor of Weatherford, Texas. Buster also leaves behind three grandchildren, Kaycie Ford, Halie Taylor and Rachel Hallman and three great grandchildren, Maddox, Grayson and Aeson.

Visitation will be Monday, March 9, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home in Vernon, Texas.
