Edward John Wiederanders was born on January 19 ^th , 1923 in Vernon Texas. Virginia Mae Freeling was born on June 24 ^th , 1923 in Vernon Texas. They knew each other through church and school. Both Edward and Virginia graduated from Oklaunion High School in May of 1940. They married on January 18, 1942.

Edward was a farmer and carpenter. Virginia was a homemaker and organist at Immanuel Lutheran church in Harrold Texas. They lived on a farm about 1 mile west of Immanuel Lutheran Church and were both active in their church and in the community. In 1972 they decided to sell their farm and move to Cypress Texas to be near family and so Edward could form his own construction company.

Edward passed away in Cypress Texas, August 6, 2013. Virginia passed away in Cypress Texas, November 23, 2016. They were members of Salem Lutheran church in Tomball Texas.

Edward and Virginia are survived by 3 children, David Gene Wiederanders, who passed away in September, 2020, Shirley Renee Askins-Lloyd and Alan Dale Wiederanders. Grandchildren Robert Askins, Jennifer Askins, Jonathan Askins and Nicole Wiederanders, and Great Grandchildren Chloe Askins.

Graveside services will be held Monday January 10, 2022 at 10:30am at the Wilbarger Memorial Park with Pastor Paul Neuberger officiating under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home
