Elias Calvillo, 76 of Vernon, Texas went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2026.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, at 10:00 am at Templo Ebenezer with Pastor Fabricio Reyna officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Elias was born on June 9, 1949, in Knox City, Texas. He was the son of the late Cosme and Julia Calvillo.

Elias was a longtime resident of Vernon. He was a member of Templo Ebenezer. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son, Elias Calvillo, Jr., granddaughters, Krystal Calvillo and Chelsea Calvillo, his parents, Cosme & Julia Calvillo, and siblings, Isidro Calvillo, Alfredo Calvillo, Epifania "Pola" Castillo, Virginia Guerra and Victoria Escobedo.

He leaves behind son, Luis and wife Jeannett Calvillo of Houston, Texas, son, Reyes and wife Shaundra Calvillo of Webster, Wisconsin, son, Christopher Calvillo of St. Paul, Minnesota, Daughter Loretta and husband Miguel of Akron, Colorado, daughter, Alice and husband Daniel Rodriguez of Vernon, Texas, daughter, Mandy and husband Scott Fennell of Iolo, Texas, son, Armando and wife Teresa Alcorta of Fort Worth, Texas, son, Fabian and wife Lindsey Calvillo of Iola, Texas, daughter, Celia and husband Anthony Villarreal of Grand Prairie, Texas, daughter, Amelia and husband Carlos Vargas of Vernon, Texas, brothers, Tomas Calvillo of Colona, Illinois, Daniel Calvillo of Vernon, Texas, and Jose Calvillo of Olustee, Oklahoma, and sisters, Josie Ramirez of Vernon, Texas, Janie Ranjel of Lockett, Texas, and Maria Fuentes of Vernon, Texas. He leaves behind numerous grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel.
