Ester Sanchez, 67 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in Sherman, Texas.

Mass services will be held Monday, March 2, 2026, at 10:00 am at Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church with Father Phil Petta officiating. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Ester was born Sunday, June 15, 1958, in Munday, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Valentine Trinidad and the late Magdalena Luna Trinidad. She married Deacon Jose Piedad Sanchez on February 5, 1979, in Veracruz, Mexico. She was a member of Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church where she was very active in all aspects of the church with her husband for forty six years.

Ester is survived by her son, Jose Piedad Sanchez, Jr. of McKinney, Texas, four daughters, Monica Garcia of Anna, Texas, Veronica Sanchez of Vernon, Texas, Margarita Sanchez of McKinney, Texas and Maria Guadalupe Cervantes of McKinney, Texas, two brothers, Emilio Trinidad and Ernesto Trinidad both of Vernon, Texas, and two sisters, Alicia Albineda and Maria Elena Trinidad both of Vernon, Texas. Ester also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Ester is preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Jose Piedad Sanchez on August 4, 2016.

Rosary will be Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 6:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Knights of Columbus or the Ladies of the Alter Society.
