Obituary

Eugene "Elmo" Kieschnick, 81 of Vernon, Texas died on Thursday, November 4, 2021, in Vernon, Texas.

Services will be Monday, November 8, 2021 at 10:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Steven Brummett officiating. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Eugene was born Thursday, May 2, 1940 in Vernon, Texas, he was the son of the late Walter Kieschnick and the late Freida Schur  Kieschnick. He married Wanda Atkission on September 1, 1962 in Vernon, she preceded him in death December 1, 2009. He was a farmer and he worked at North Texas State Hospital Motor Pool Supervisor. He loved restoring old tractors, repairing and restoring vintage tractors for people all across the United States, John Deere, Moline, Massey-Harris and Avery tractors were some of his favorites. He loved his family dearly. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church he helped with Zion Lutheran BBQ and made the German Sausage.

Eugene is survived by his two daughters, Tammy Suzanne Kieschnick Vincent and husband Kenneth of Vernon, TX and Kerri McKeever of Wichita Falls, TX, brother, Robert Kieschnick of Vernon, TX, three sisters, Edna Sitz of Midland, TX, Janice Evans of Wichita Falls, TX and Gladys Dudley of Fort Worth, TX; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and a son Lynndall Kieschnick in 2001 and a brother Walter Allen Kieschnick.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.

Memorials can be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, Zion Lutheran Church or Congregate Meals.
