Frederic "Bill" Messenger Wallingford, 86 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023, in Vernon, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday November 22, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Altus Cemetery in Altus, OK, with Mr. Ronnie Wilson officiating under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Bill was born Tuesday, July 27, 1937 in Kansas to the late Frederic Messenger Wallingford and the late Josephine Wood Wallingford. Bill attended the University of Texas. After college Bill worked for the Texas Department of Banking for a short time before becoming a farmer and investor.

Bill leaves behind his longtime caregiver and friend Eva Cordoba and longtime Attorney and friend Mike Baskerville.

Bill is preceded in death by his two children Willy Wallingford and Corbi Wallingford.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-7pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
