Gary Lee
Harper
Feb 26, 1948 — Sep 25, 2023
Gary Lee Harper was born February 26, 1948 and raised in Jonesboro, LA. Gary was a Vietnam veteran who served in the United States Air Force. Gary was a mechanic and a truck driver. After a long battle with illness, Gary went home to Jesus with his loved ones by his side. Anyone that knew Gary, knew of his quick witted sense of humor. He was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart. He was generous, loyal, and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his life experiences. Gary loved to tell stories, if you'd just sit and listen. He had a smile that could light up a room. Gary made an impact on many lives, and will be greatly missed.
Proceeded in death by his son Alan Harper, and parents Margie and Melvin Harper.
He is survived by his wife Cindy Harper of Vernon, his daughter Kala Martinez of Arlington, Tx, his grandchildren Kelsey and Geoffrey Wright of Vernon, Austin Martinez of Arlington, Allison and Adrian Chenault of Florida, and one great grandchild, Abigail Wright of Vernon.
