Gayla Sue Chapman, 70 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11:00 am at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Keith Clower officiating. Burial will be Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11:00 am at Decker Cemetery in Nolan County, Texas under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Gayla was born Wednesday, July 30, 1952 in Hobbs, New Mexico. She was the daughter of the late Ben Wimberly and the late Bonnie Wise Wimberly. She married William Randy Chapman on May 2, 1992 in Vernon, Texas. Gayla retired from Wilbarger County as an Assistant Auditor working with Linda Byers, County Auditor. She was an avid scrap booker and she loved crafting. She attended Calvary Baptist Church.

Gayla is survived by her husband, Randy Chapman of the home; one son, Paul Sileo of St. Louis, Missouri; one daughter, Linn Conrad & husband Darren of Lago Vista, Texas; five grandchildren, Matthew Conrad, Meagan Conrad, Ethan Sileo, Emmy Sileo, and Everett Sileo.

Gayla is preceded by her brother, Bill Wimberly.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.

Memorials can be made to Wilbarger County Humane Society in Vernon, Texas.
