Gene Richard Howery, 69 of Electra, Texas passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, in Electra, Texas.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Gene was born Friday, April 16, 1954 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late George Howery and the late Leona Fletcher Howery. Gene worked at Waggoner Ranch for forty years as a carpenter. Gene loved to fish and his friends meant the world to him and his nights at the warehouse.

Gene leaves behind his companion Sharon Haney, of Electra, TX. two sons, Brian Howery of Wichita Falls, TX and Curtis Howery of Vernon, TX, three brothers, Jerry Andrew Howery, Calvin Howery and Larry Joe Cohorst. His longtime personal friends Faye and Keith Skelton of Electra, TX. Gene also leaves behind his good friends Paul and Sally Coates and Don and Marla Mason.

Gene is preceded in death by two brothers Glenneth Dale Howery and Donald Ray Howery and two sisters Della Ann Howery and Stella Leona Carpenter.
