George Eldon Knight, Sr., 88 of Knox City, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022, in Knox City, Texas.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Antwine officiating. Interment will be at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

George was born Thursday, May 24, 1934 in Comanche, Texas. He was the son of the late Charles Knight and the late Clemmie Croker Knight. He married Shirley Beth Langdon on March 23, 1957 in Vernon, Texas.  George was a mill worker in Vernon and Chillicothe.  He loved hunting with his dogs. He was a Baptist.

George is survived by his sons, George Knight, Jr. of Vernon, TX and Gary Knight of Iowa Park, TX, daughters, Kim Gavit of Vernon, TX and Elizabeth Taylor of Vernon, TX. Brother, Loy Knight of Vernon, TX. Eighteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.

George is preceded in death by his wife, son James Leslie Knight, and daughter Shirl Mae Knight.

Visitation will be Monday, November 21, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
