Htoo Saw Zan, 80 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Richardson, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 10:00 am at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Nan Jah officiating. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Htoo was born Saturday, June 10, 1944, in Pyapon, Myanmar. He was the son of the late Saw El Grim and the late Po Zone Grim. He married Tee Pwee on April 1, 1979, in Myanmar. Htoo was a teacher. He grew up in Delta Township in Myanmar, then he moved to the Myanmar/Thailand border where he lived for ten years. He moved to the U.S. in 2009. He was a member of Vernon Karen Baptist Church.

Htoo is survived by his wife, Tee Pwee Zan of the home, three sons, Philemon Zan of Austin, Minnesota, Kaw Nai Htoo Zan of Huron, South Dakota and Kaw Thablay Zan of Vernon, Texas, and two daughters, Bethsaida Zan of Vernon, Texas and Hsa Lwe Htoo Zan of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Visitation will be Monday, April 8, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
