Hubert Virgil Harp, 96 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in Vernon, Texas.

Hubert was born Monday, December 21, 1925 in Vernon, Texas. He was the son of the late William Harp and the late Edna Cook Harp. He married Doris Peters on March 3, 1951 in Vernon, Texas.  Doris passed away on December 25, 2016. Hubert was in the Army from April 4, 1944 until October 4, 1945.  He fought in World War II and was a Purple Heart Recipient. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Hubert is survived by his daughter, Ricki Lindsay of Vernon, Texas; granddaughter, Gillian Lindsay; grandson, Lucas Lindsay; great granddaughter, Emri Baumann, and great grandson Deven Matney.

Hubert is preceded in death by his wife, Doris A Harp; son-in-law, David Lindsay; nine brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be set for a later date.
