Irma Brackeen, 73 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday October 13, 2021 at 2:00pm at the Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Rodriguez officiating under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Irma was born Wednesday, January 28, 1948 in Glen Flora, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Jesus Cisneros and the late Elvira Villa Cisneros. Irma married Sammie Brackeen in 2005 in Lubbock Texas. Irma served as a cook for the Vernon Congregate Meals for more than fifteen years. Irma had also been a dietician supervisor at various nursing homes in Lubbock Texas.

Irma is survived by her husband Sammie Brackeen, her three sons, Robert Rodriguez of Lubbock, TX, Bruno Rodriguez of Lubbock, TX and Joe Rodriguez of Midwest City, OK. Three daughters, Alice Rodriguez of Lubbock, TX, Silvia Shelby of Midwest City, OK and Delia Henderson of Choctaw, OK, three brothers, Sammy Cisneros of Vernon, TX, Edward Cisneros of Waxahachie, TX and Rudy Cisneros of Lubbock, TX, one sister, Delfina Perez of Plainview, TX; twenty-two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Irma is preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Elvia Cisneros, two brothers Arnold and Vivian and one son baby Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
