Jack S. Thomas, Jr., 62 of Vernon, Texas gained his wings Friday, May 9, 2025, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Jack was a member of Wood Street Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11:00 am at Wood Street Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Thomas and Rev. Norris Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Jack was born on August 9, 1962, in Vernon, Texas. He was the son of the late Jack S. Thomas, Sr. and the late Francis Hardin Thomas.

Jack loved sports and had a keen eye when it came to the Dallas Cowboys. Jack loved his family and friends and loved music and dancing. He had a memory like an elephant. Jack also loved eating, and his favorite food was fried chicken.

Jack is survived by Gladys & Gary Thomas, Celestine Young, Robert & Bridget Thomas, Patrick Thomas, Anita Thomas, and Christopher Thomas. Jack had a number of nieces and nephews.

Jack is preceded in death by his father, Jack S. Thomas, Sr., his mother, Francis Lee Hardin Thomas, his sister, Diane Blackshire, and his brothers, N.B. Thomas and Stony Thomas.

A wake will be Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Wood Street Baptist Church.
