Jalayne Goss, 59 of Vernon, Texas, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 15, 2023, at 10:00 am at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Chapman officiating.

Jalayne was born Sunday, July 26, 1964, in Saguache, Colorado. She was the daughter of the late Travis Ham and the late Geneva Hanna Ham. She graduated from Northside High School in 1982, and then went on to attend Vernon Regional Junior College. She retired from Vernon State Hospital in 2015. She currently worked at Butch's Guns and as a substitute teacher for Northside ISD. Jalayne was a master gardener and a Pistolera. Jalayne served on the Doan's Picnic Association Board, Vernon Boys & Girls Club Board, and the Vernon City Council. She was also member of the Vernon VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Western Trail Cowboy Church.

Jalayne is survived by one brother, Neal Ham & wife Darcey of Vernon, Texas; two nephews, Raymond Ham and Austin Ham both of Borger, Texas, and one niece, Merritt Stewart of Bullard, Texas. Jalayne also leaves behind her great nieces and nephews, Jacob, Katy, Macie, Piper, Zoey, and Halli.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
