James Ray Duncan, 58 of Oklaunion, Texas passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023.

Graveside services will be held Friday, June 23, 2023 at 10:00 am at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home with Rev. Toby Castleberry officiating.

James was born Sunday, April 11, 1965, in Vernon, Texas. He was the son of Eddie Duncan and the late Barbara Lane Duncan. He married Nanette Wootton on October 25, 2007 in Vernon, Texas. James retired after working thirty-seven years with Wilbarger County.  He loved hunting and bowling.  He had numerous three hundred score games. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

James is survived by his wife, Nanette Duncan of the home; father, Eddie Duncan of Vernon, Texas; one son, Hunter James Duncan of Oklaunion, Texas; four daughters, Krystal Garcia of Weatherford, Texas, Baylee Otten of Vernon, Texas, Hannah Cantrell of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Saydee Duncan of Oklaunion, Texas, and one brother, Eddie Duncan of Prosper, Texas. James also leaves behind seven grandchildren.

James is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Duncan in 2006, and by his son, Colby Duncan in 2009.

Memorials can be made to the Harrold School District in Harrold, Texas.
